Lovely delivery first up to Hazlewood, full and swinging away at the last moment. Hazlewood has to play but with the late movement he is unable to change the line of his bat in time.
That is that then for the Australian innings. The hosts have been bowled out for 326 which looks to be a very good score on this wicket. They managed to add some useful runs this morning and now the Indians are on the back foot. This won't be a type of pitch they are used to so it will take them a while to get themselves in and accustomed to the pace and bounce. Against the Australian attack that is not going to be easy. Lunch is just around the corner so a tricky little session coming up for the opening pair of Vijay and Rahul.

Lyon hits back while taking five wickets in the process. An unlikely five-for on a bouncy, seamer friendly wicket. Bumrah was deep in his crease and this was the one that didn't turn. Healthy edge off the bat and Khawaja does the rest.
India are all out for 283. That gives Australia a lead of 43 which could be crucial moving forward in the match. Hard fought innings on both sides and it could have gone either way until Kohli was dismissed. One positive moving forward is the pitch has calmed down and the demons have been rolled out. Batsmen when they get in will look to cash in and get Australia a large lead.

Full and straight and unsurprisingly that does the trick for India. They have let the Aussies off the hook with some poor bowling to the final pair but Bumrah goes back to basics and knocks over off stump. That means India will require 287 to win when they come out to bat. Another interesting session in the match in which the ball started doing everything after lunch. After a placid morning session nobody expected it and it caught some of the batsmen by surprise, although the deliveries they received were unplayable. We should be in for a fun chase whichever way this goes.

There it is. Cummins finishes it off with an easy catch as Bumrah tries to heave the ball into the legside but sends it straight up. The Indian tail did what most people expected and crumbled in dramatic style, losing four wickets in the space of three overs.
Australia finally break their losing streak and win comprehensively by 146 runs. The conditions were difficult for both sides but it was the home team which compiled a better second innings and ultimately that was what won the match. Some great performances throughout the match but it was probably Nathan Lyon who stole the show with eight wickets on a quick, bouncy surface. Virat Kohli also produced a wonderful ton in the Indian first innings but it required a couple more batsmen to kick on if they wanted to compete further in the match.
So, it's set up nicely as we move onto the Boxing Day Test. At 1-1 the series is anyone's and it should be a fabulous spectacle at Melbourne for the fans. Do join us then.
