FOUR! Mohammad Amir to Tim Southee. Full toss, outside off stump down the track flick, well timed past fine leg for 4 runs.
Southee walks way across the stumps and down the wicket and Amir follows him. The bowler misses his length though and Southee is able to clip the ball past short fine leg.
New Zealand finish on 315-7 which looks a challenging total on this wicket and it was the top-order who delivered for the home side. Colin Munro hit a quickfire 58 while Kane Williamson played a superb innings and scored 115. The platform was then set for Henry Nicholls to play aggressive and pick up an ODI fifty.
Pakistan tried everything but the dropped catch of Williamson proved costly. Hasan Ali was impressive again with 3-61 while some of the other bowlers chipped in with one apiece. They will need to bat well and use the wind to their advantage when they come out to bat in the second innings.

Unfortunately the game has been called off with the weather not getting any better. That means New Zealand win by 61 runs via DLS method and without the rain they looked like they would take the victory anyway. Fakhar Zaman put up a good fight with an unbeaten 82 but at 54-5 it was always going to be an uphill battle. Tim Southee was superb with the new ball and he started off the slide before Trent Boult chipped in with a couple of his own.
We now look to Nelson for the Second ODI where hopefully we will see some better weather.
