A quick chat - Barbados Tridents' Zachary Carter says it is always a pleasure to face his mentor, Kyle Mayers, although he knows the challenge will be a tough one. After getting a valuable score, Carter says he focused on sticking to his basics, trusting his strengths and giving himself enough time to react to the ball. Carter describes batting alongside Quinton de Kock as a pleasure, adding that he looked to pick the experienced South African’s brains and absorb as much knowledge as possible. He feels the pitch is a good one, although the ball is gripping slightly when hitting the surface, and believes clear plans with the ball can help his side go all the way. Asked if he is now the leader of the Gorilla Gang, Carter laughs it off, saying he is still only a 'graduate.'

Tridents set a huge target - Barbados Tridents have put on a powerful batting performance, posting a big total after being asked to bat first. Quinton de Kock’s fantastic century was undoubtedly the highlight, but he received excellent support from the rest of the batting unit as the Tridents kept the runs flowing. They will be delighted with their effort and head into the break in a strong position, while St Kitts and Nevis Patriots now face a huge task in the chase.

Johnson Charles' blazing knock - Needing an explosive start, the Patriots found early momentum amid sheer chaos. In the fourth over, Johnson Charles was ruled out to a catch, but following animated protests from the Patriots dugout over waist height, the third umpire reversed the call to a no-ball. Making the most of his lifeline, Charles launched seven massive sixes in a stunning 78 off 45 deliveries. He put on a 112-run opening stand with Kyle Mayers, who was unluckily run out at the non-striker's end for 29.
