- Bangladesh have won their last four Tests on the bounce against Zimbabwe, this after having won just one of their previous 10 (D3, L6).
- This will be the first Test match played at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium; however, Bangladesh have lost just one of their previous seven games in their home nation against Zimbabwe (W4, D2), including wins in their last three such fixtures.
