Usman Khawaja is a Pakistani-born Australian cricketer who is known for his elegant batting technique and ability to score big runs. Born on December 18, 1986, in Islamabad, Pakistan, Khawaja moved to Australia at a young age with his family. The left-handed top-order batter through the ranks of Australian domestic cricket and went on to represent the Australian national team.Khawaja - who made his domestic debut for New South Wales in the 2008-09 season and quickly made a name for himself as a promising top-order batsman - and soon received a national call-up.
